Really excited about the world of blogging. Hopefully in a small way it will be a life changing experience. Just read an autobiography of an African boy growing up in Alexandra Township called ‘Kaffir Boy’ which brought back some emotional memories about growing up in South Africa during the Apartheid years. I suppose thinking back and if it was not for Apartheid and seen as a second class citizen and deprived off basic human right I would not have come to England and seen Best, Law and Charlton and United win the European Cup three times.
In England we have freedom and can live where we want and go to any school and sit on any park bench and not have to worry about finding a toilet which says ‘Nie Blanka’, (Blacks only) yet we have people living segregated lives and racism and discrimination is experienced on a daily basis.
